Boğazkent Sahili
A wide sandy shore just east of Belek where the Acısu delta meets the sea. With the resort density falling away here, it is chosen for a quiet beach day and for wind sports.
Boğazkent is a coastal settlement in the Serik district, east of Belek. It takes its name from the mouth where the Acısu river meets the sea. The beach has the same sand as Belek's but the hotel density is markedly lower, which means kilometres of empty sand.
The delta area behind the beach is good for birdwatching: during migration, flamingos, herons and various waterbirds use this wetland. The Belek loggerhead protection zone extends this far, so parts of the beach carry nest markings during the laying season.
Facing the open sea, the wind picks up in the afternoon, which makes the area suitable for kitesurfing and windsurfing. Mornings suit those after a calm sea. Being close to Aspendos and Perge, it is easy to add a beach break to a day of ancient cities.
